Greetings to You.

Welcome friend to my world. A world unlike any other. A place where magic works and is worked. A place where a strong arm and a good weapon can make one a king. A place of many gods and even more religions, all of which are in part real. Welcome to the home of your other-self. Welcome to the wonderous lands of 'The Skorr'. Welcome to the planet of dreams, Terren.

The land you are about to enter is the world of Terren, more accurately a small area of land on the single great continent of Pyngaea called Ameria. A diverse land full of wonder and magic. Here I will give you a short overview of the lands you will explore, a brief history, and hopefully a better under-standing of where your alter ego shall prosper and grow.

Many things on Terren are different, some even impossible, from your earthly stand point. The gravity is lighter, freer than you are accustom to. Weather is slightly milder than as on your Earth, but in a much more unpolluted state.  Many types of plants unknown to you exsist on Terren in a variety of colors; trees with leaves of blue and red, lush grasses of blue-green or yellow-orange, violet bushes with yellow berrys, and fruits of all shapes and colors combine with the mundane varieties you are familiar with to make up the landscape. Many and varied are the creatures, animals, and monsters of Terren, and almost anything can be expected in the wild.

Elves, Dwarves, and Dragons are the only true native intelligent races of the planet.  The elves and dragons bickering over who was first to awaken, the dwarves claiming the gods righted their mistakes after their first two failures.  Halflings arrived some 3,000 years ago and humans less than 2,000 years ago, though both fled war torn worlds fated to destroy themselves, the halflings were refugees fleeing their war torn lands, where as the humans were a people looking for a way to escape a defeat at the hands of their foes.  Like the many other races also found on Terren, they discovered the scattered inter-planer gates that conect Terren to all places and all times, and passed into these lands. Unable to get home they established residence on Terren.

These same 'gates' that allowed the sentient races to pass onto Terren have allowed many other creatures to pass through. Once on Terren the strong magical forces play havok with evolution. This results in an unprecedented diversity of life forms. Everything from the mundane to the mysterious, from mystical to monstous, things that never should have been to creatures more beautiful than dreams may be found on Terren.

Ameria is not, for the most part, a mediaeval land. At least not as you would judge one, it is a fantasy world where sword and magic rule. A land that has had over seven times our history to develop its 'sciences'. While it may seem primitive to us, it is in fact very developed. In some areas it is far advanced from our own history; magic forsaken by our fore-fathers has advanced to the science of Terren, weapon crafting has surpassed even the magnificent skill of the orient, sailing ships have continued to advance both in the sea and the air, armor is lighter and stronger than we make even today, the knowledge of religion is greater, all of these and countless others are very much more advanced than anything in our past. After all 10,000+ years is a long time.

I hope this is enough to wet your appitite, and bring you back for more.
